Product direction
The Hackstat roadmap.
See what is implemented in the Mac app, try the browser preview, and understand what remains planned for the desktop release.
The browser preview
The interactive demo gives you a feel for the workspace today: explore sample keywords and rankings, search a keyword list, draft metadata, and export sample data as a CSV.
It works without an account. Demo editing and exports happen in your browser, with optional local storage for saved metadata drafts.
This is a product preview. It does not connect to app stores, fetch live search metrics, or install a desktop app.
Desktop workspace
Hackstat stores your ASO workspace locally on macOS. Research public listings online, then review saved apps, keywords, notes, and history offline.
- Local app and competitor workspaces with public listing metadata and research organized by country.
- One-Mac license activation, with a signed certificate for offline use after activation.
- CSV exports of observations and recorded listing changes.
The public Mac installer is still being prepared. Supported macOS versions, installation instructions, and backup guidance will accompany the desktop release.
Keyword history and future imports
The Mac app checks keyword positions against public store results and saves dated observations. Tracking and export work today in the app; importing external research remains planned.
- Listing-derived keyword suggestions and manually added terms.
- Saved ranking snapshots organized by app, date, and locale.
- Manual, daily, or weekly checks while the app is running and the Mac is awake.
CSV import is not currently available. Fresh rankings require internet, and missed checks are not backfilled. Public sources do not provide reliable App Store search volume or keyword difficulty scores.
Metadata review and future drafting
The Mac app displays available public metadata, supports copying and character counts, and runs local completeness audits. Desktop draft editing remains planned.
- Review the localized listing data returned by each source.
- Check character counts and disclosed local audit rules.
- Keep notes and export recorded listing changes for your research records.
You can try the metadata editing experience in the current browser demo. Automatic translation, store publishing, and PDF reports are not currently included in the Mac app.
Product principles
Useful offline. Research already in your workspace should remain useful without a network connection.
Portable by default. Your work should remain accessible through understandable files and exports.
Honest about the data. Sample values, observations from public stores, and optional autocomplete signals should be easy to tell apart.

Try the ASO workspace.
Search sample keywords, compare rankings, and draft your app metadata in the browser.
