About Hackstat

Cloudless ASO. At home on your Mac.

Research App Store and Google Play listings, follow your keywords, and keep the history on your own machine. Hackstat brings that work into one Mac app.

Keep your app research together

A keyword position means more when you can see its history, the store it came from, and the app listing beside it. Hackstat keeps those observations together so you can review changes and plan your next release.

Your apps, competitors, notes, and saved observations live in a local database on your Mac. There is no cloud workspace to set up or monthly keyword allowance to manage.

From a store listing to a useful history

Search for an app or paste its store link to fetch its public listing. Check relevant keywords, add your own terms, and save observations for the countries you are researching. Compare tracked terms and available metadata with a competitor.

View and copy available metadata, check character counts, and run a local completeness audit. Export keyword observations, ranking summaries, or recorded listing changes as CSV files. Hackstat does not edit or publish your store listing.

The getting started guide walks through the workspace and the separate browser preview.

Work with saved data offline

Cloudless describes where your research lives. Saved listings, keyword histories, notes, and analysis stay available offline. New app imports, listing refreshes, and keyword checks need an internet connection to reach the public store sources.

Daily and weekly checks run while your Mac is awake and Hackstat is running. After a missed interval, the app checks the current position when it can run again. It does not reconstruct rankings for the days you were away.

A license covers one Mac and needs internet for activation. Hackstat also checks its status online at startup when the service is reachable; a valid saved certificate supports offline use. Payments, license delivery, and activation use online services.

What the data can tell you

Rankings reflect the public search results Hackstat checks: up to 200 results from Apple and the first organic results page from Google Play. These sources have rate limits and may differ from a personalized store search. Automatic keyword discovery starts with up to 16 listing-derived terms; you can add your own tracked terms.

The optional popularity signal measures Google autocomplete prominence. It is not app-store search volume or keyword difficulty. Hackstat does not supply download or revenue estimates, and its completeness audit is a disclosed local heuristic, not a store score.

Public sources do not expose every metadata field. For example, Apple’s source omits the subtitle and private keyword field. Country research uses available localized listings; automatic translation, store publishing, CSV import, and PDF reports are not currently included.

Start with the preview

The website’s interactive demo is a working preview with illustrative keywords, rankings, and metadata. Explore the views, edit a draft, or export a sample CSV without creating an account.

The demo runs in your browser and includes a sample metadata editor; the Mac app currently offers metadata viewing, copying, and character checks. The installer is being prepared; your private order page shows license email delivery and download availability. Read product direction to see what is available now and what is planned.

Hackstat’s operator sells the Mac license. Payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. See the purchase terms for pricing, activation, and delivery details.
